A Lab for AI Researchers Who Build With Human Context培养能把研究带进真实场景的 AI 人才
MAC-Lab, the Multimedia Affective Computing Lab led by Professor Xiao Sun, trains students to move fluently between algorithmic research, deployable engineering, human-centered evaluation, and public communication. The lab now extends its multimodal affective computing foundation toward ubiquitous psychological computing and embodied emotional intelligence.MAC-Lab 全称 Multimedia Affective Computing Lab,即多模态情感计算实验室。今天,实验室在这一基础上进一步延伸到普适心理计算与具身情感智能。我们希望学生既懂算法,也懂人;既能做出高水平论文,也能把系统带到真实场景中验证。
The lab's intellectual roots connect Dalian University of Technology's NLP tradition and Tokushima University's affective computing lineage. Professor Sun's doctoral training under Professor Huang Degen, CAS Academician Gao Qingshi, and Professor Fuji Ren gives MAC-Lab a stable academic route rather than a short-term trend portfolio.实验室的学术底色连接大连理工大学自然语言处理传统与日本德岛大学情感计算脉络。孙晓教授曾在大连理工师从黄德根教授和中国科学院院士高庆狮先生,在日本国立德岛大学师从日本工程院院士任福继教授,这使 MAC-Lab 形成了有清晰传承和持续深化的学术路线。
The group works across national research programs, digital health, healthy living, smart mobility, psychological services, and human factors. MAC-Lab combines paper-driven research, system engineering, innovation competitions, and industrial collaboration. The lab's student training is built on a stable intellectual route: natural language processing, human-computer interaction, multimedia affective computing, ubiquitous psychological computing, and now embodied emotional intelligence. Joint graduate training and academic exchange with partner universities further broaden students' research context.
